The cottage inside and out...

 

Honeysuckle Cottage, which sleeps up to four in two bedrooms, is our own rural retreat and is accordingly well stocked with the regular day-to-day necessities including broadband connection - home from home in a very real sense. Double-glazed and gas centrally heated throughout, with stylish freestanding stove as a boost, the cottage retains its country cottage atmosphere. The fully equipped country-look kitchen leads to a west-facing courtyard garden complete with bistro table and two chairs and overlooked by an attractive summerhouse with its own seating. Prices include all bedlinen, towels, electricity, central heating, broadband facilities etc. There is on-street parking opposite and parking is free throughout the village. Sitting room

Snug sitting room with leather sofa and 2 armchairs, featuring a gas-fired stove and attractive open shelving. Dining area with a small dining table seating four and a pull-up shelf facilitating broadband for use with your own laptop.

Fully equipped country-look kitchen complete with oven, ceramic hob, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine, dryer, fridge, freezer etc.
A stable door leads to the courtyard.

Courtyard

Enter the west-facing courtyard, paved with tiles of Indian Sandstone, with bistro table and 2 chairs and a small barbeque. Here you can relax in privacy and enjoy the peace.
A few steps up at the back you'll find a charming summerhouse, giving extra seating and additional sun chairs. It also houses a parasol and a rotary drier.

Bedroom 1

The master bedroom has a king-size double bed in ‘shabby chic’ finish, with matching bedside tables and chest-of-drawers. There is also a built-in wardrobe with ample hanging space. Plenty of natural light through the beautiful windows with their small square glazing panes, traditional in the area.

Bedroom 2

The smaller bedroom is compact, but will comfortably accommodate one person in its 3-ft single bed. A second person can be accommodated via a pull-out underbed, thus forming 2 single beds or, pushed together, forming a spacious 6-ft double, while retaining enough space for a small wardrobe.

Bathroom

Attractive bathroom with claw-foot bath and electric shower over, washbasin and toilet. In addition to the central heating there is a heated design radiator and plenty of space to hang your towels.

Facilities

Heating Gas central heating throughout, gas-fired stove in the lounge for the occasional boost and electric heater in the summerhouse
Linen Bedlinen and towels are provided
Parking One unofficially-designated parking space virtually outside the front door. Parking is free throughout the village.
Internet If you wish to use the Broadband facilities, let us know and we'll send you the code. (Online facilities are also available at local libraries.)
Telephone Telephone is available for the use of guests for incoming and local calls. Being situated in a dip, mobile phone reception downstairs is patchy. However, reception is generally fine upstairs, as well as at the back of the patio and in the summerhouse.

The cottage is fully equipped, and includes:

Washing machine, dryer, fridge, freezer, oven with ceramic hob, microwave, coffee machine etc.

Being our own home-from-home, the cottage has much of the paraphernalia you need on a day-to-day basis.Please feel free to use our supply of items such as washing machine liquid, coffee, tea bags, etc, and then as and when you finish anything, please replenish it. We hope in this way to avoid guests having to buy large quantities for a brief period!

For your own comfort as well as that of others, we operate a no pets and no smoking policy.

Please note: There are 2 steps at the entrance to Honeysuckle Cottage as well as some in the courtyard. These, coupled with the fact that the doorways are narrow, make the cottage unsuitable for wheelchair users, while still being accessible to the ambulant disabled.
