Sitting room
Snug sitting room with leather sofa and 2 armchairs  and featuring an oil-fired stove as well as attractive open shelving. Small dining table for four and ingenious pull-up shelf facilitating broadband use (for those with a laptop).

Kitchen

Fully equipped country-look kitchen, with stable door leading to west-facing patio garden with bistro table and 2 chairs, where you can relax outside in privacy and enjoy the peace.

Summerhouse

Charming summerhouse at the back, giving extra seating and additional sun chairs.

The patio houses a small barbecue.

Stairs

A short flight of stairs leading from the hall to the landing upstairs, with access to the two bedrooms and the bathroom.

Bedroom 1
The master bedroom has a king-size double bed in ‘shabby chic’ finish, with matching bedside  tables and chest-of-drawers. There is also a built-in wardrobe with ample hanging space.  Plenty of natural light through the beautiful windows with their small square glazing panes, traditional in the area.

Bedroom 2

The smaller bedroom, with a 3-ft single bed and pull-out underbed, which can be used as 2 single 3-ft beds or pushed together to form a 6-ft double. This makes things somewhat cramped........

. ......but there’s still space for a small wardrobe, with useful overflow space in the drawer of the cupboard on the landing as well as in the built-in wardrobe in bedroom 1.

Bathroom
Attractive bathroom with claw-foot bath and electric shower over, washbasin and toilet.

The cottage is fully equipped, and includes:
  Digital colour TV with freeview
  DVD player
  Digital radio with CD player
Small supply of CDs and DVDs, games, books and detailed information on things to do in the area
Washing machine, dryer, fridge, freezer, oven with ceramic hob, microwave, coffee machine etc.

Being our own home-from-home, the cottage has much of the paraphernalia you need on a day-to-day basis.  Please feel free to use our supply of items such as washing machine liquid, coffee, tea bags, etc, and then as and when you finish anything, please replenish it. We hope in this way to avoid guests having to buy large quantities for a brief period!

For our own comfort as well as that of others, we operate a no pets and no smoking policy.

Please note: There are 2 steps at the entrance to Honeysuckle Cottage as well as some in the patio garden. These, coupled with the fact that the doorways are narrow, make the cottage unsuitable for wheelchair users, while still being accessible to the ambulant disabled.
