Tranquilly located in the village of Hutton Rudby, our own rural retreat is a real home-from-home and provides the ideal base for exploring the many delights of beautiful North Yorkshire. The village is set amid rolling pastures against the backdrop of the ever-present Cleveland Hills. Nearby are the open heather moorlands of the stunning North York Moors, while a short drive away are the Yorkshire Dales, the Heritage Coast and the historic city of York.

The cottage, well stocked with all the regular day-to-day necessities, accommodates three or four in two bedrooms. Easily accessible from the main A19 and minutes from the village’s three pubs, two churches, post office, butcher’s and small supermarket. This traditional 19th-century cottage, which may have been a weaver's cottage originally, is at the far end of a quiet no-through road in a conservation area in the oldest part of the village.

Lounge at your leisure in the patio garden or stroll to the shops overlooking  the distinctive Village Green, dominated by its spacious avenue of majestic trees, and enjoy the community feel here. Or explore the public footpath from the end of our road down to the River Leven, circling round to re-enter the village. Pause to admire the fine old Church, before climbing up again and stop for a drink at any of the pubs you’ll meet on the way!

The cottage location is ideal for anyone wishing to unwind while savouring the delights of a picturesque, vibrant village in close proximity to excellent walking country and numerous historic venues. The cottage accommodation is especially suited to couples or close friends and is also perfect for single people, as there are ample opportunities for contact where the need is felt - the village is particularly noted for its friendliness. The cottage would also appeal to families with older children who enjoy activities such as walking or visiting castles and ruined abbeys.
